As the morning draws nigh
I watch the eastern sky
For a love poem in the wind;
When night lifts the shrouds
Lightly tinting all the clouds
Causing light and dark to blend.

No words were heard
As the morning took the sky
No rhyme was mine
As the clouds rushed quickly by.

I searched for words of love
And kept glancing up above
To see the clouds blowing far away;
When the sun reached it’s peak
And all the words I did seek
Just faded in the bright of day.

My thoughts were naught
I could not find love’s rhyme
Sunbeams and dreams
Were drifting away in time

As the day lost it light
And drifted off to night
I could feel the chilling of the wind,
It moved the yellow bloom
That I took back to my room
To grace a vase I stuck the flower in.

Not a note was wrote
Of the song inside my head,
So I wept and slept
Still alone in my lonely bed.

Unfolding

I wore:

the sheerness of my words
the naked of my heart
a rhyme within a scheme
the aching when apart

the once before in eyes
that seek the gentle touch
a love song in the making
the trust of wanting such.

I seek it there, within the limbs
for you whose voice I hear,
in the now and of beyond
a finger's trace sincere

across the soft of night time's reach
when sun has lost its set
till in the morning hours of,
the wind does not forget

the drifting of the words one writes
within the shadow's hold,
that warms the chill of faded day
when loving does unfold.

I wear:

a poem in the wind
to drift the scent on course
the breeze to float a kiss
of lips to reinforce

the sheerness of these words
to sing inside your head
to fill the night with dreams
beyond your lonely stead.

And now you have your poem
in whisper words of rhyme.
A blending of the light to dark
or dark to light...in time.

*keeping this thread*
A real beauty, Gloom, as is Maureen's wonderfully poetic reply.

Seems like when we look for something, it becomes hardest to find!  Just like my keys--can't find them because they're in plain sight!
Always in awe of your poetry,
