My Everything
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

You breathe into me the sweet essence of rose,
You surge thru’ my blood as mountain stream flows.

You’re warm and as welcome as a southerly breeze,
Your voice is as soothing as white willow trees.

You light up my life as do the rays of the sun,
You’re my man-in-the-moon when my day is done.

You’re majestic and mighty as the tallest oak tree,
You’re expansive and deep as a blue endless sea.

Your spirit is part of the spirit in me,
You and I fly ~ unfettered and free.

You fill me with joy like first robin of spring,
You’re my friend and my lover. ~ You’re my everything.

Linda

This is better than most "Hallmark" poetry.

You should try to sell this to the greeting card people, they sure could use some good verse...

I echo what Ford said.
This is so beautiful Linda
and the pic only adds to the beauty.
Hugs lovely lady~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

I thank you for that suggestion. It is very gratifying for me to know that you think that my poem is worthy of Hallmark!

Nancy ~

You just doubled my pleasure of ice's generous reply! Thank you so much!

With you being the epitomy of romantic writers, your reply means a great deal to me!

I write my poems first and then I search high and low for a suitable picture. I was so happy to have found this one.

Warm hug ~ warm smile,
Linda

I must agree; "this is better than most "Hallmark" poetry" and I have read a lot of "Hallmark" poetry! I also like the imagery too, well done!

s_b_g ~

He and I belong to a mutual admiration/appreciation society!

He once said to me that we are stars in our own right, but that together we make a super nova! I suppose you could say that stars that twinkle together ~ play and stay together! lol

Mucho big huggos!
