It's not like I don't miss those times
I mean...I do those times were great.
The problem is those times were never real.
They were wrapped inside bouncey balls, like the paper butterflies
and the marbles are rolling down the damn stairs again. and it keeps me up.

They were rolls of wet film inside a broken camera.
They were hands shoved into endless pockets.
We were empty and mad. Mostly mad.
There is no other one here dear, just you and me, and your dark hair falls into the colours of my changing eyes.
And is measured on the wall with our shadow puppets running just behind the light.

Climb the street lamp and see there's nothing in this world that doesn't shine.
And yet this skin is dull.
Lets rip it off and sell it for a dollar.
It's not like I don't miss you. I do.
You were wonderful.
Do you remember the places we would go, just sitting in a closet with the light from under the door.
We never needed their light. We still don't. Lets live in our world.
