Perhaps it is that
Winter is envious,
Or needs reprove dominance
By smarting the face
Of its earth-wife-with
A cold backhand.?

It could be that it's jaundiced
By the threatening arrival
Of a warmer, handsome sun-
That's come courting;
Arroused, and with intention,
Of becoming her new lover?

It tries to stifle the affair
Like an animal (threatened
thusly) telling its rival;
"Over the she-part of earth,
I am still superior husband!"...

And in a spousal fit it shouts,
"If I can't have her
Will no one!"
As it spreads its foul invent
Of death-white jealousy;

Suffocating the lawn.

Ah...but the Sun
is not a quitter...
and can be as jealous
as Winter...

watch it melt...

This fits very well with this morning's wet cold weather Ford.
What a change...just when we thought it was curtains for winter.
Lets hope it doesn't last long.
~Morning hugs, Nancy~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

LOL, and the battleground spreads itself out upon the lawn. Enjoyed this seasonal domestic dispute.
