You walk between the 2
on a world sized ball
your feet deep dancing
even when the music slows to the sleep mode,
your feet dance
and your neck strains to stay skyward
and not let the body sink
where you may or may not
find absolution in finally freeing the truth;

you take from choice A
and shift gears to choice B
and sometimes behind door #2
a bit of light reflects and bounces
temporary salvation, but most times
the choices inevitably become albatrosses

but you do it

guiltfree most days,
because it is what it is,

you realize by now,
no one has your back
and you do it regardless
as the choregrapher becomes you.

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Inky
An exotic dancer comes to mind when I read this....

Perhaps I am way off, and it is the mind of a dirty old man that has urged them into configurations of a scantly clad dancer?..

Anyway, the poem is well done, in form and content.always a pleasure to read your words...
