recollections

recollections
feel absolute
but they are not

fact and fiction
of love and lust
blend false with time

emotions mix
jagged pieces
of past events

lasting passions
carve strong pathways
deep in one's head

yet memories
never capture
like a camera

instead the mind
simulates life
creating an
impressionistic painting

Janette

Note:  carved from my poem "Alchemy"

always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same
