The Bell Tower

Shadows flicker
like flowing flames of ebony.
Shadows: flicker
jump
hump up
run back
and skitter,
a rolling cloud
of smoke-broke-free–
and no one left to look for me.
Shadows.
Flicker.

Very nicely written Nan.
Love the presentation and imagery.

I see the bell
and I hear its toll...

Well done, Nan.

Well done Nan, you crafted the bell very
well.  Always a sucker for poems about
bells.

It's been a while since you graced us with your poetry! I see, and hear, what you are saying! Keep on ringing ~ and I'll keep on reading!

You have a very special and unique way of expressing yourself.

Love and Light,

easily visualized the shadows to the ringing bell; how crafty you are in sounds and form!
Brilliant.

The more I read this, the scarier it got.....maybe I remember a different bell tower than the rest of 'em.....I hope so.

Whether or no, it's beautifully done!

Thanks everyone, for reading and letting me know you like it.  Ed, yeah, it's supposed to be major creepy-crawly.
