Island of White

Listen to an ancient river
Proving destiny, island white
Burning incense, hugging melancholy
Traveler, oh traveler, floats leisurely by
Thick hair never tires of looking
At your blue spring water journey
Soft sounds plucking strings of deep wood
Alpine Orchestra…you the maestro
Eternal golden oak wood potential
With perfumed sleeves
Your scent smiling on morning
Nestling in high chambers of pearl
Circumstance grows green vines
Giving chance to drink
Tunes of wind….
You’ve pleased me through the ends of autumn
Marking our place in life’s waters
Taken me to silhouettes, where ponds ripple
Bearing my body, in deep admiration
Night rain...urges me to distain
My soul wearing you like a smile
While you lift your wings and use them again
Picking thyme along the miles
With rugged brow, like a wise dream
A thousand heartbeats away
Still near, hovering soft
Knowing we danced & made....
Loving mountains, green with moss
Sometimes I am beyond sight
Because of you…drifting through
Moonlight crescents…like the missing
In recluse, the music of your mind
Seeps and hugs those empty places
Where we used to be...I smile to visit
Proving the name of a great terra firma
I’d never known until you...

This is beautiful LeeJ, and I'm glad I paused here for a moment before I started my morning.

very much like a river or stream in form; whenever i expected a sound or word you did something different that fit exactly. i do not know if it was intentional but there were parts that were slower, then faster, then kind of swirlly where i had to re-read before moving on.

nice.
