Blending In

*
Sitting on the porch, rain drenched
blending in with tears of happier times,
for these endless clouds of darkness
"always get me down"
taking me back, releasing the needs
to allow the spare to rise up
and present itself.

That ache in the shoulder continues
to remind me I am alive
with a force equal to no other.
Hearing a voice outside my own
keeping me under construction,
the splashings just another sound
tuning my morning, designing my day.

Catching one, in the palm of my hand,
its coolness of drop spreading,
relaxing my thoughts, in mist surrounding,
allowing the calming of the storm
to enter and shadow my heart...
watching the fall, blending in.

the rain has such healing powers it seems,
the tranquility when it falls softly..

very, very well done lady maureen.

I really want to care,
I want to feel something,
let me dig a little deeper
nah, still nothing~
my give a DAMN is busted. Jodee

Ahh, what is the pain,
Just a reminder of what we’ve done,
Another gain
After the work has begun,
But in doing the task
Won’t the pain let the doing last
Till sleep, or a hot soak in the tub
Makes the doing go away
And it’s just a little tug
When you begin the next day.

M,
It is amazing how the now can so mirror the past that it blends. It makes pain less painful and yesterday a memory to not forget.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Such is the blending of pain and sorrow,
and the beauty that hangs in the mist.

Enjoyed the calm after the storm, Maur~
