Pushing itself up boldly
through the desolate landscape
a solitary wildflower blooms
haphazardly,
unobserved by human eyes,
seemingly uncelebrated,
yet a beacon of light
to other creatures.

For the truth is,
that solitary hidden wildflower
often offers the gift of Life
to the smallest scavengers,
sometimes deemed the bottom feeders
of the great chain of Life.

Bloom away, little one,
for you may in fact be
the foundation
of
all.

(hadn't noticed that someone just quoted this until after I cut!)  You seem to have a lot of sensitivity and an eye for creation.

Kacy

What a lovely poem..

The worlds energy is expressed in every living thing....Your tiny flower is no exception.
Although it is "seemingly uncelebrated" It does not go unnoticed, at least by me.

And it has great power.....after all, Like Dr. Williams said...

* "Saxifrage is my flower that splits the rocks."

Beautiful!

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul
