Let the flute play
Beat the drum

Sing the old songs
Drunk with the wine
Of this new Spring

And perhaps
If good enough
From the morning mist
That surrounds these ruins

We
Will hear laughter
In the air

Feel lambent kisses
On our lips

Thanks Kaci,

Regardless
of what is said . . .

it is good
to be alive

Thanks for reading.

John

P.S.  Follow the title through the net
to, at least a bit of, a  beautiful
“blast from the past”.

And an enjoyable melody it is, from Avignon cathedral, circa 1600. Joel Cohen has done a fine job of preserving this piece of music.
"Belle qui tient ma vie"
