Thusly spoke the wizard to the inhabitants of the green earth:

Be faithful to the truth unto death!
Duplicity breeds corruption.

Be kind unto one another!
Love conquers unjust cause.

Seek not wealth beyond thy means!
Excess spawns avarice and greed.

Demand not the life of another!
The blade knows no master.

At this, he rose to his full height,
Robes snapping in a sudden wind,
Raising his arms, his eyes burned,
Red hot coals that pierced the heart,
His staff gleamed in the eerie light:

Fail this, and the earth will darken,
Great fields will be laid waste,
Demons will roam in search of blood,
Brother will suspect brother
Injustice will consume sensibility,
Chasms will appear to swallow the meek,
The end will come like a thief in the night.

Heed the warning children of the light,
For the darkness awaits your indifference.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Peggers~

Very timely, I think~

'Demand not the life of another!
The blade knows no master.'

Chasms will appear to swallow the meek,
The end will come like a thief in the night.'

'Heed the warning children of the light,
For the darkness awaits your indifference.'

You know that in reading it, my thoughts turn to Terri Schiavo ... and 'chasms will appear to swallow the meek' ... sure hits home as possibly Terri's last Easter morning approaches~

Thank you for sharing your heart~
