we all pick our heaven
and send god a post card
to tell him or her
depending on what you smoke
what he can do with his
or hers depending

then we call it hell
and pray to plaster shadows
for some favor
from their gods and clowns
for healing and laughter
and a pot of gold

without a rainbow to ruin
the view of the neighborhood
and the big screan day dreams
we show on the walls of our minds
between nightmares
and another panting chant

for god to damn someone else

Who was it who said 'that the only thing worse than not getting what you want is getting what you want?'  If anyone knows the source of this paraphrased quote, please tell me.

I think DS expressed this so well.  Awesome write and I think it is one of your best.
