Name always makes you think and why cobbles there Why was the Robin Hood on the Quay side With a reputation in the jungle Away on the sea side of Toll Square Houses always had a large skulley Outhouse to beat Everyone in everyone's house And down to the sea as well To a man with a stick Keeping the kids From the Quay Morning down to Tyne Brand Hooks a floating Only took on women Men were there Just fishing Always say you'll go back But it never happens All you have fragments Of a life you ran from And in the blessedness of ignorance Romantic Of hardship And an understanding That makes you seek more |
