Rosewood

go night
there is a poem out there
the sky is a sheet stretched upon bone
a fallen sun lost in play
gliding as if it had changed its mind
a hard wood bleeding on the inside
it only hurts a little
torn it dangles in the breeze
yet, what lingers with the trees
from roots to leaves
is a whisper from the wind
it blows pale in darkest night
against the skin of red purple rosewood
of dwelling moon invited kissed
it strongly marks the grain

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

*shaking my head*

You are achingly lovely yanno.

This transcended the screen.

Rosewood indeed.

Helen- You know what I think?? I think... I think...

I think I'll go read it again.

Great job.

I liked it all, but this:

"...what lingers with the trees
from roots to leaves
is a whisper from the wind"

knocked me out.

this is such an amazing poem...
I read this lastnight and went to bed with poetic envy, for I wish I had written it.
