String the stars in white gold
clasped like a bracelet
set in sapphire sea's
let the moon linger sweet
until it burns with a glaze
to a beautiful phase
tasting the glare
of a splendor that teases
lapping like silk
through our hands.

I see a slip of a girl
at the shore,
straining to wear
sea glints...

Lori, it sounds like you are writing of, and from, a very beautiful place. Your words were so calming that I am certain you must have lowered my heartbeat.

Thank you for this beautiful poem that you have gifted your readers with!

I do so enjoy it when the lovely of you spills forth.

Happy springtime hugs,

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

More than poem, this is a gentle picture of the one who wrote it. I like that very much.
