Here I am
again,    in the corner
biting my lip
wondering what will happen next,
     what do I do?

Should I seek shelter
     or stand in your view,
do I shelter myself
under a blanket of humility
or stand proudly exposed

           if the naked truth be told

will you devour me
     just to toss me aside

or will you drink
  of the tears
     that I've cried,

will you feast upon me
and swallow me down
  into the depths of you
        until I can no longer be found?

Would you consume my soul
so that I may be one with you,
or will you send me into tomorrow,
still,    unknowing.

Tonight,
when you are done with me
will I be your sweet angel
or just the bitch
   left discarded
         to be alone-
               with thoughts of

                   her own uncertainty?
