I.

Be with me...
if only for a moment;
such shared ecstacy.
Burst me into smithereens
till dawn melts away the moon.

II.

You Intoxicate ...
with sweet pleasures etched in words
spinning wildly--
whirling, close, deep and burning;
oh,crescent moon, be still!

III.

Speaking silent tongues,
secret language of the heart
beyond words-
Oh, to touch and to be touched;
dewdrops drip from lotus petals.

Paul, I think this is the first time
I have seen the word smithereens used
in a poem! It made me smile!

Stand up and take a bow, Dear Wakian Poet! These wakas are outstanding. You have a gift for writing them. I thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience! I savoured and visualized each glorious line!

Thank you Sunshine, ... I have seen it used in a wonderful book of translations: Zen Poetry: Let the Spring Breeze Enter Trans:Lucien Stryk.  The image was so striking, that it stayed with me and popped up now.....[ Your smile is beautiful!]  ~P

oh moon dance
dance down the aisle
in your big fat sombrero
loves a blooming
as spring shatters
the zenman's window
of composure

The waxing moon
burns through the ink sky

love's frenzy intoxicates
in sweet celebration

Paul, this was like sitting on a deserted beach in the caribbean, feeling the tide so warmly walk towards with promises of nothing more then the quiet touch of azure waters

How beautiful
