It's twenty seven minutes past
the time that I am pavlov's beast
dripping drool upon the keys,
and leaving bloodlets of the laughs
it's twenty seven minutes lack
the starburst of the
"how are you"
the pause of what I might space back
knowing you can see right through
the moments of my pause,
you knew

I'd look for you
again.

And in this absence,
of pretense

I dream of it, what you would say.

I need another diary
I need a star to guide the day:

"It's twenty seven minutes lack--"

(as if there were some other way)

It's moments of you

words I tack

as memories upon my back

daggered in the cork of trust

like proms and concert ticket stubs

and pictures

of our goofy lust

awkward in the pose.

I lack
the realty of your arms--
leaping on your lap
"hello"
teasing with my tongue
I know
there is not a thing to fear:

as you count the minutes too
and I kiss your eyes goodnight,
peppering the flutterings
of the lids of eyes serene

I dream the cypress dripping us

I gathered us the moss

and scream

that "it's not enough"

I need--

wrestling the sheets.

Oh heck Serenity, you're choking me up and tugging at my heart so good.
Fabulous writing, all of it!

Such an ache to this Karen..
such an outpouring of emotion.
Well done pretty lady~

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

I read this gem last night right before shutting this thing down....
went to bed with your rhymes in me head.

Popping for a quick "thank you" and a curtsy.

It sure felt good to write some poetry again, so I appreciate the appreciation.

Hugs to you all.

thank you

Well, dear, I have read this
four times today...and each time
have come away with something new.

I figure if I put this in my library,
like this "click"...

then every time I read it in the future...
it will hold another surprise...

like most of your poetry does.

Always fitting the moment...

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises...

I gathered us the moss

and scream

that "it's not enough"

I need--

wrestling the sheets.

Oh, lady... I left my sheets behind and sit here reading poetry, knowing I'm just begging a lousy workday... I know... yes.

I am so sorry Karen

I Do know and I was going to give you some
  but quite frankly, I really
do not know how that kind of support will make you feel better. (not from me, anyhow)
