In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2005-03-20 06:24 PM

I would ask you to sing,
but your heart is full of stone

you are the season of blue

from your Sunday platform you sing
of river&trains, of winters  echo
calling the faithful to kneel and pray

and in your youthful memories
recall velvet falling from a child's
arm; a softness settling the floor --
walking across fields of daisies
plucking the love me game
from a smile and feel of warmth

      You, who gave
your quiet love mixed in
morning air

~~~
outside the window, the unreachable night
covers the moon with black clouds,
stretching over bare arms and
painted oceans
it was a Thursday
and still no rain
today I feel as weak as water
I held my breath for a moment--
on thin black lines
one casting the other in
shadows
Tonight I'll leave lavender on your pillow
for you to inhale the beauty
as you press your palms
to the edge of night
from the deep sea of the given
with your smiling face
pressed to stone
This is my cathedral--
the rain
is falling--
such a beautiful storm,
first color on water
And then we spoke of flowers
seen only at night
I promised myself I would never again miss a post from you.
That's the best gift I could have given myself, Lauren.
I loved the images of religious icon with nature (but then, blush, of course I would)
a satisfying feastly read, that promises more, somehow.
And should there be more, know that I won't miss it.
yer lovely
Yes..you are lovely,
as is this..beautiful.
Hugs pretty lady~
For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul
Lauren,  you amaze me with your imagery.
So unique, but so very right.  This is
no exception...  Thanx for sharing it.
Love the soft settling of heart, even the love me game sounds inviting,
but I know better now.  To quote my mon, Jackson Browne,
"when you see through loves illusions, there lies the danger"
This is such a beautiful, soulful write, Lady Lauren.
You move me, every time!
Strange as it seems,
water is never weak...
it may trickle, but it continues
in its stubborness, to wear away...
water is never weak, unless and until...
it is taken up by a continual sucking sound...
known only to nature, when it withers away,
for water's roots only go so deep...
and when it loses its main tap?
Then most assuredly, still waters will run deep...
Ah Lauren...it is so good to see you writing again...
see how we expound on your own endeavors?
God, I've missed your words, Greeneyes. *sigh* So very beautiful; the imagery of this (and your other poems) I'll keep under my pillow at night. S'wonderful...s'marvelous...
Good grief now how did I miss this gem?  Absolute exquisite imagery Lauren as usual.  Sure wish you and babygirlwlove would duet together, what a masterpiece that would be.  Have a great day!
