I am a wandering nightlight
I wonder if I shall ever alight
I hear the songs a rainbow sings
I see a rainbow of love auras
I want a peaceful mother earth
I am a wandering nightlight

I pretend that darkness hides from me
I feel the oceans caress the sands of time
I touch each grain of life on earth
I worry that time shall slip through my open fingertips
I cry that I will not shine forever
I am a wandering nightlight

I understand change is inevitable
I say life evolves without my conscious input
I dream someday all people shall be free of hate
I try to make the world a pleasant home
I hope I have made someone happy
I am a wandering nightlight

*thank you, Ringo

Yes, thank you, Ringo! Your challenge has many fine poets digging deep into their souls to express the me-of-me of themselves.

Kacy, you have done a wonderful job of sharing your beautiful self with your avid readers!

I believe a lot of us have that thought, Kacy. Like Sue, I have been waiting for particular poets to expound on their challenges.

And this fits you very well.

A nightlight may be small, but it puts the light exactly where it's needed, and only where it's needed. Never forget that.

Thanks, passionate poet friends.
And James? especially thanking you for that comment, as it reminds me of the need to stay focused.
