Grey duck day, thick as iron, glass like ice, muddy mind
Spring round the corner, Easter grass, still too cold to run
The rains come, and I’m ready for sun, but not that blessed, yet
What I’d do for a day in a convertible, with nothing on
but a silk scarf, and a little white dress that says “God, Yes!”
But Sunman says he’s holdin’ back, and I’m just disappointed
knowing that hairy Snowman is still lurkin’ somewhere
Come May, he’ll make his disco appearance, and March
yeah, it just marches on, aqua, and lively as a puddle splash
across my Renoir, and I keep puttin’ on the Revlon
just for the sake of kissin’ pretty, and feelin’ somewhat alive,
as a dandelion, with an appetite, for anything bloomin’ in red

Dang it's good to read you! No email responses had me worried. How about a ride on my Road Star?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

need...for sun, and more sun...and that

Reg.,

You have a touch for words, scenes, thoughts
and such that few can equal.....Have missed
seeing you around....Hope you are well, and
maybe soon that white dress shall get a
chance to feel the winds...

Sigh, what a delightful "ramble"...I saw it all, felt the wind in my hair and that scarf flapping high behind and the warmth of the sun *smile*

Have I told you that you're one of my favourites?

Please keep em coming.

adding this beauty to my library.
