Touch the sky of blue, caress the winds
that move me, smell the flowers blooming,
laugh and ever sooth me.

Feel the warmth of a hearts flow, the smell
of a night’s mist laced with shoulders
white....look lingeringly into the mirror
of my soul, reach out...touch me.

Ride the endless cresting wave of a sigh, traverse
the mountains peak upon the eagle’s cry,
the lure of tea, a touch against soft
lips....the pound and skip before the
one last tantalizing sip.

Touch the rose of magic, raise the smooth and
gilded wand, feel the air electric
....skip the flat stone’s pond....

If I were a warrior, wilt thee be my maid,
standing ever elegant, basking morning’s shade.
Longing for the moment when fingers dance
the vine....as I draw a breath for thee
and dream that thee art mine...

.

~ Reach out and touch you?!? My goodness! You wouldn't have to ask a woman more than once, to be sure! lol

"Lingering Shoulders of White" ~ Well, I do have white shoulders ~ and I mist myself with "White Shoulders". ~ Do those count?

I love your loving poems!

Damn Barry - what maid could resist such a warrior's passion as this?  I love your gentle touch that sears with the brand of heart's fire deep -

Have read this many times before I could respond in words.  What romantic impact took hold of my heart in the caress of your thoughts.  By far one of your best and most tender renderings.

Oh sure, by the time I get to this fine write, all the good words are taken.  Nontheless, I enjoyed it very much.  KJ
