Johnie Angel

She's one of the finest women I know.
Her simple style, her county smile,
set the bayou swamps aglow.
Once she decides to trust you,
she'll make a place for you
in her little cajun shack,
amist the swamps and gators
and weeping willow trees,
out past the railroad tracks.
She lost her favorite husband
Johnie, way back in '92 and you
could hear her softly and sweetly
say his name, if she were to
drink moonshine with you.
