King,
your skin
that covers my eyes
fulfilled cobwebs
under a microscopic gaze

reigns

Pauper, I,
crying for the rotten remainder
sobbing for the rancid wisps
to come alive
spiralling smoke pits

in the centre of my bedroom
My Universe
bold-unattainable...

Windy eyes
are breathless now

melting the breeze upon the raven hair
that is your own

and pilfering fingers wish to skim over
~fool you to think
it was only the warmed touch of nature

colliding above your crown...

Eyes took their last beautiful breath
some time ago

do you see?
how it spirals to your skull
the same way
everyone's does

yet

You are king,

Still.

I see a young girl
listening to the strains
of a voice that never aged...
and the windy eyes...
now there's a line...

I've missed you, Gemma...welcome home!

First off, you are one sultry-looking, beautiful young English rose.

Now down to the nuts and bolts. You, my dear, are yourself a royal! You are the Queen. Actually, I should rephrase that. You are "a" queen! I wouldn't want to incur the ire of Elizabeth! lol

You are one talented poetess, dear Gem Drop!
~ and I have been missing you!

Loving hugs,
Lindy

Since the last time I read you, maybe about a year ago, I see some real growth in your skill and body of knowledge -- it's wonderful to see someone good get even better.
