I misunderstood Younger Misunderstood Older Now I understand about the gap What you have achieved and want to achieve But the gap of what you’ll feel Is the gap you choose to kneel And credentials you have spoken Always fitting in Never chance for skill is being prevented from achieving Is outside of your guild Unless you can face that You made a choice You didn’t think ahead You just fell in love Instead But family, marriage, business Paid by your bills Stuff at some point As an interesting old thrill But the bill is still in you The unpaid bill, the stick up bill, the loan in you And you moan And want to run Family Checking your house price For their own Run away, run away Before you are too old They will catch But some years before too bold And run away from everyone But you cant run away from yourself And that is for yourself And the life Is on the little beach shelf |

Yes, I understand the giving away of too much of one's self. To have the balance in our lives, I believe we still need others in our lives for no man is an island. However, I do feel that it is also important, as you wrote, to have a little shelf of beach to ourself.  EA |
