TOP O' THE MORNIN'!
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+
It is that time of year again,
When I am not myself.
My dresden skin, turns emerald green,
And I become an elf!

I have a taste for Irish beer,
And I shrink way down in size.
My ears and nose grow pointy,
And I've bright green twinkly eyes.

My voice becomes quite lilting,
With a bonny little brogue.
I doff my wee, elfin hat,
And become a rascal rogue.

I trill, "Top o' the morning!",
As I skip-de-doo my way,
Down the paths and garden walks,
~ 'Cause it's St. Patrick's Day!

Perhaps I should write a melody for these words. Then I could trill them 'til my hair turns green!

Happy St. Patricks Day! (late.)

I've been away so long, you've put up a beautiful picture of yourself and I didn't even know! Wow, you are one pretty lady! Love the colour of your hair! I'm jealous.

Lovely to read your cheerful, playful words, always make me smile and forget the horrors of the day!

Love ya Lindy. x

My goodness, you l'il English Rose! You've been in the garden far tooooo long! I've missed your sweetness and poetic self!

That was mighty kind of you to flatter me so! ~ It just added some cheer to my Irish spirit! That was the most recent photo of me. My BF picked it out because he said it showed my spirit! lol

I am pleased that my poem was able to put some cheer into your life, my friend!

If you get a chance to get to Ireland before I do, please kiss the Blarney Stone for me ~ and of course for yourself!

Irish blessings of good luck and happiness!

Funny poem! I hope you don't get bolloxed (Irish slang for "very drunk") with that Irish beer!
