Memories of you resonate inside of me
Creating havoc to my thoughts
Words I try to express loose there context
When the words leave my mouth

The very voice that was so sure
Now trembles with doubt
My emotions shiver deep down inside of me
Slowly causing me to become cold

I once felt extraordinary in life
Now I am lucky to be an ordinary person
Walking the streets of the average man
No longer super but stripped of all my special powers

The only part of the past left to me this day
Seems to be the broken promises given so freely
Resonating deep inside
Strangling my thoughts and emotions

Lonely is the only word left
Literally in the correct context
The last vestige of you
Feeds that loneliness
