In the space between moments

Velvet sapling fingers
curl in the sunlit imaginings
of my mind.

Hauntings of past springs
and dewy-sweet kisses
trace this place
of tender growth—
I stand beneath
the snowy veil
of crisply wintered truths,
a bride adorned
in folds of silence
and longing.

But my birth glimmers
on the western sky
where you linger
at the edge of time—
waiting for when the beginning
can begin with me.

Until the day
that green relights
beneath my feet
and the only white
is flowing tulle
and wedding lace,
I take solace
in the once tiny sapling…

That now holds the enormity of forever
In it’s firmament-tracing arms.

Hey there girlie.
K, this is just so lovely...its great to read you again...this is a wonderful reminder of all the things that make your poetry so special. As always your personification and imagery are lovely poetic mix of softly haunting ethereal and the emotional essence is of tender longing.
Classic Krista and thats a very good thing.

Dark Angel- It has been a long time...I lurk around here a bit occasionally though...my life is so busy, but once in a while the muse comes busting out.  Thanks for your kind words.
