White on navy blue
The horizon merges to ocean hue
Sky and sea deepen to dark night,
Winds cap and propel
Where they’ll crash who can tell
Perhaps on some beach in moonlight,
How far will they run
All the way to the rising sun,
Will it be watched or out of sight?

Although it wasn't at sunset, this reminds me of boating on Lake Erie and also in the Gulf.  What fun times!  The wakes and swells, the ocean caps... and at SanDiego, the waves breaking against the jetties...
I had forgotten other settings outside my home.  Thank you for reminding me of them.  Truly satisfying imagery here, Professor.
