If thee doth feel the sting of flight
beyond the green of grass lain knoll,
wilt thee then fall, a wounded knight
as yon the bells of freedom toll.

A warrior born of rages sinned
and crimson blood ‘neath auburn hair
beyond the fleet of April’s wind
where only souls most brave do dare.

A fight, a fight to death for thee,
as arrows arch the blue of skies.
As bloods are let for liberty
and maids of soft and silken thighs.

For is thy cries their ears shall hear
beyond the courtyard of cold stone
though thee art nigh, most very near
as glinting blades cleave sinewed bone.

And whence the skies lie dark and low
against the wane of Spring’s new moon
thy bloods shall join the babbling flow
until they blend thy water’s dune.

I see in this the centuries
of man in struggle, all to
become blended in time...

well done, Sir.

Oh bravo Barry - I love the chivalry and old world honor in this - not to mention the layered sensuality behind it -

Very complex language and thought process. I see you have dug deep here.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
