It was then, a past time,
as snows fell lazily and a heavy
southern mist gently touched
damp and shivering ripples.

A clutching time of need, of loneliness,
a moment of thought, trepid compassion.
A whispered timid hello as two hands reached
slowly out and fingertips touched ever
briefly as a spark kindled a small wavering
flame.

When a heart, though courageous, caught,
stumbled and stuttered...wondering if
another might tremble slightly, just as...
Perhaps it might, perhaps.

As winds drove lazy waters into the
sway of reeds and spray tickled the furrowed
brow.   As a moon’s light danced a
winter’s chill and stars rode a night sky
of silent beauty....as each walked alone,
in wonder.....watching a comet’s tail
dance to a lyrical tune....wandering
...as fingers again every lightly touched...
and distant eyes smiled beyond the wane
of a sun’s horizon once more.

"a clutching rhyme", as well...  Such gentle writing that carries this reader into the vivid scenery...A pleasure to read you again, Magnus.

Especially liked the heavy southern mist surrounding this one kiddo.  What seems to return is an endless circle of sweet.
