Fever'd Impasse

Dreamscapes come, these slow, and willing,
voices mix rhymes, somewhat milling,
fevered brow, stretching reach to hold
all that’s swelling toward the grasp of gold

Entangled are they, these dreams that swirl
wintered limbs seen calling spring’s unfurl
yet this fever holds keen dreams that yearn
a moment’s ardent, quiet, curl in burn

Time in flash, then hand to brow
who am I to guess, what now?
Fever breaks as mid-dawn arrives ~
would I live in dream’s contrive?

Thus palest gold shifts Venetian blinds
as still warm flesh holds some recall kind
in that twist that brought you to me
in fever’d impasse, this reverie.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! and gorgeous!  Your poem, alone, would glow without the photos!  The photos are a breath-taking accompaniment!  A treasure in this!

Beautiful, spectacular pictures Karilea. But sorry to hear you are not feeling well.

Hope Spring and your health return real, real soon.

Perfect title, Karilea....
One morning soon, there will be a difference in how the sun shines through the trees.
Your fever will be gone by then, and your body back to normal, I am sure.
Spring will be here, medicine for the body and spirit, and you will no longer live in a contrived dream, but in the new and glorious light of a new and glorious season...Hang in there, good things are coming.

Spring sun, herbacious
Golden potion, mind obsorbed
Taken in through eyes

Amazing medicine is this
Lifting spirits by its light
