(Inspired by Tims' "An Oaken Tree")

(Written for CastleGuard)

She thought of him at night,
those fiery words he had written,
For it was love at first sight,
both hearts had been bitten,

She sat by glowing candlelight,
writing with parchment paper and quill,
staying up, through the night,
penning the emotions she did feel,

The gift was folded and bound,
by silken handkerchief and ribbon,
now her long dark hair tasseled down,
her heart was wrapped to be given',

Down the castle stairs she stepped,
donning her red velvet cloak,
while the whole world slept,
she was riding across the moat,

Upon her white stallion she rode,
down into the dark forest of trees,
while hearing the crikets and a toad,
upon her face was the winds breeze,

For she followed the path again,
where her heart had lead her before,
riding against the darkness and rain,
she came upon the oak tree door,

She dismounted by a brook flowing free,
placing her lovers gift inside,
the hole that was in the lovers tree,
then she felt a warmth by her side,

He grabbed her with passionate embrace,
pulling her as close as a heartbeat,
he could feel her breathe upon his face,
while burning love tingled down to his feet,

The rain was pouring down,
it was a summer moonlit night,
he had made flowers, for her a crown,
Their bodies began to sway left to right,

They danced in the rain,
two lovers embraced in loves tune,
her love to him, she did not refrain,
while he gave her the stars, the moon,

He asked, "Are you the one my stars have foretold?",
she replied, "Yes by fate, I am your true love",
the one with whom to grow old,
The very one your heart always knew of,

So they loved till night passed away,
underneath the lovers tree,
where love will always stay,
and their hearts will always be free~

~Meet me underneath the old Oak tree,
and Yes I will dance with thee in the rain!

~Thy Fiery Lady with Crimson Footsteps!

My Fiery Lady of Many Dancing Crimson Footsteps,

A truly passionate dream My Lady’s heart has woven...as a story from a long lost era, of romance and love;  stories that now only live in the imaginations of poets.

I thank you for spinning this wonderful dream, and sharing it.

Though if a Knight may be enticed to dream along, he may even blush...

CG flips down his visor....
