* * *

I feel at peace in these surroundings
as memories of you come to mind.
I write my thoughts on paper as I
pause to watch the birds in my garden.
They chatter amongst themselves
and bathe in the birdbath
before they take to the skies.

It's been nearly six years since
you left me, and I still bear
the scars of losing you.
Pain and sorrow are my constant
companions, yet I don't let them
defeat me.I must remain strong.
I deal with my grief by writing,
as I share my deepest feelings
with those who are far in distance
yet so very close at heart.

I often wonder if you help to guide
my pen as I write and I wonder what
you would have thought of me as a writer.
I pursue my love of writing
with great endeavour as I reach
out to others in the hope that
my words may encourage and
inspire them.

You will always remain with me
in spirit and though my life has
moved on without you,
my heart will never mend.

"The best way to meet the loss
of someone we love is by knowing
that when we truly love, it is never lost.
It is only after death that the depth
of the bond is truly felt, and our
loved one becomes more a part of us
than was possible in life"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

its a connection that goes beyond the physical world, since we truly are all just spirits living in  a material world

Sue, perhaps he is guiding your hand! For sure someone from Up There is!

I also believe that we can become even closer to loved ones who are now in spirit than when they were in the flesh.

Love is timeless.

God bless you both.

Sue, I lost my brother in 1980. To this day, I miss him. We were very close. I was just thinking of him the other day.

Sue--

So glad to read you--I'm sure that you're father has become your muse and that his wisdom flows through you pen.
