Deception seeks to hide the truth within a cloak it has devised,
it twists the facts and may invoke the priveledge of an alibi.
Selecting subtle shading to disguise what's real, the words it speaks,
concoct, contrive, and carefully craft such statements 'til they sound tre' chic.

Refined by rascals and by rogues, for they, unlike the common liar,
employ these skills I find in vogue, in point of fact , to which aspire.
Each well placed clue, each turn of phrase designed in keeping with detente,
thus showing one may play the fool, as well perhaps,as a savant.

Deceit, when used in such a way, must surely crease the brow indeed,
evoke a scowl of pure dismay, and cause ones' patience to recede.
Concise descriptions of such schemes would not at all appear"PC"
enticing us, to some extent, to look for other answers, gee!

It is to say,"That when in Rome, do as the Romans, mon ami,
that is of course, as in this poem, you have things right down to a "T"

Enjoyed, Doc.

this is written with your usual delightful flair, and the theme lent well to your style.

Perfectly woven web my friend.

I hope you are doing well.

I have missed you.

and webs...like walking a path in the woods, are sometimes difficult to discern, and quite often, it isn't until we're left sticky that we realize that we've walked through...

you always inspire me yanno
