A Solitary Life

Resigned to bear a cross so deftly carved
From ruins of a life in disarray,
He struggles through each vacant moment starved
As life once rich with promise slips away.
Without the skills to cope with other's needs,
He’s lost with but his muffled telling cries
Unwilling to admit his wounds, he bleeds
And with each drop he sheds he slowly dies.
Alone he knows a peaceful death awaits
Devoid of heartache, agony and pain,
And there within the shell his will creates
His final days of solitude remain.

A friendless soul is tragic at its best
But in this tragedy is found his rest.

Very good poem and full of sadness

Poetry is beauty in words.
