“I AM” I am a freak with an abnormally large heart. I wonder why you have torn me apart. I hear your voice echoing in my mind. I see your smile, so gentle and kind. I want to go right back to the start. I am a freak with an abnormally large heart. I pretend you are here, now, sitting with me. I feel your presence driving me crazy. I touch empty air as I reach out for you. I worry that I’ve lost you, whatever I might do. I cry at night, the pain won’t let me be, as I pretend you are here, now, sitting with me. I understand your need to be far from me now, I say it’s alright, it will be ok someday, somehow. I dream of a time when once again we will be friends, I try my best to embrace all that life to me sends. I hope that one day you and I can make a fresh start.
