Nature got a bit confused
But asked if she could be excused
Things weren't going as she had planned
And now we got snowstorms in this land

I said:

It's almost Spring, did you forget
That it's rosebuds and blossoms we should get
And the little lambs are due real soon
You're whistling quite a different tune

She said:

I've mixed them up, the dates you know
I gave you Spring three months ago
Your quince bush bloomed in softly pink
A bit too early I should think

Don't you worry, it won't last long
But then again, I could be wrong
Had to get rid of all this snow
You haven't had any untill now you know

I said:

Well, Nature girl, I'm not happy at all
When my ewes are due to labour's call
I want it warm and sunny you hear
Or the lambs won't hopping about I fear

When feeding the rams my car got stuck
I got her loose, but that was luck
My barn for all is not big enough
I have to take out a lot of stuff

**************

I really hope she gets her wits together
In changing fast this real cold weather
Or I'll be in trouble and sheep will be too
In about two weeks, the lambs are due

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

It's the same here in Ontario Canada dear Titia. I do hope your little lambs will be kept warm by their woolen coats. Love the pic and your poem. hugs, Chris

I hope it warms up for the new lambs!

This is such a charming little poem, I just hope that Mother Nature sorts her act out and gets the seasons back in order. Thanks for sharing this with us, I really enjoyed the read

*sigh* wishing you and the litlle lambiekins warmth, Titia. But if it is still cold in two weeks, at least they will have warm coats! But those daffodils and narcissus that should be waving hello...hmmm. I have some narcissus that just bloomed yesterday, will save you a blossom.

Well, now I know where our snow went!
Good luck with those little ones.

This may be a sign of things to come.

Wow! That looks brutal!! I'mn sorry, Titia. At least when the lambs come out they will be wearing wool...

My suggestion is to load up on knuffels to get through this difficult time...I'll volunteer!!!

Hi Titia ... beautiful picture but I'm sorry Mother Nature is confused. She must be getting on in years and getting her months mixed up!

Please be sure to post pictures of your little ones.

hugs to you my friend ... Marti

Thanks to all my friends for their warm replies. At the moment the worst is over, temperature is rizing and though there is still some snow, it won't hurt the lambs anymore. Last week the lowest temperature measured was -20 Celsius.
Now it's around 0 and that's no danger to the lambs. I'm ready! And again I shall need names for them.

wow! what a beautiful picture...a thing to love from afar. People would have a fit if we had something like that in Florida. Good poem Titia...nature is indeed confused everywhere.
