It's not so much a poem as it describes the morning light,
in pastel irridescence though that phrase does not seem right.
As apt as crimson sunbursts are to detonate the sky
inadequately rendered of this moment here am I.

It's not so much a poem that sounds through-out the morning hours
Mind -numbing in their same-ness, would that words might so em-power,
an end to this confusion through some slight lucidity
when all about is chaos of my own duplicity.

It's not enough to witness just another passing day.
The image of a sun-set, a miraculous display
that I would seek to capture, for , it's not so much a poem,
as it may be a sense of one who's lost on coming home.
