Not knowing where tomorrow leads, I step carefully into the future. I am sure to watch precariously as others swing by in a lingering way. There's not much noise here, in this realm of life. It seems kind of dark, kind of glum, kind of oppressive. Everyone looks the same- pale and morose. No scenery other then those dirt paths to my right. I'm not sure I like it here, but to leave is a long moments away. There's no one to talk to, to ask for help. I'm ignored, they act blind or deaf towards me. In the distance: deranged sounds from afar Screeching, painful sounds. I cover my ears and watch them tremble and scatter. The sounds are getting closer, the dirt is blowing and stinging me. I have no protection... A storm increasing the suffering and agony of life. When it leaves, it leaves me lying facing my escape to the normal world. I am weak, no strength... I like this one alot too! Very different, but in a good way. I love the 2nd stanza and how you said you were just like them in the end. Wow. If I could fall asleep tonight |
