In the place past midnight
I listen for the pale opening of a dream

I ask the moon for the sound
like a footfall
in the growing spring around
while past the thick street
the sky begins a harvest of clouds

This is very beautiful.

Poetry is beauty in words.

In this poem is the" red wheel barrow" of Williams,
the "wet, black bough", of Pound...
Canyon scribbles indeed...how they place me at the scene.
I love how so few words, written well,
can make so clear a picture, that only exists in my mind..

And the way good poetry, like this,
transfers that scene, from the poet to the reader..

Excellent poetry, Martie

Aren't there some pages
over there in the yucca
clinging, waiting
for you to pick them up
and scribble upon them?

I think there are.

The moon knows.

"I listen for the pale opening of a dream"

made it sound so soothing and comfortable...

I only wish that I could write something more significant than “beautiful writing” but I am in awe of this wonderful piece of poetry, so beautiful writing it is

A picture of you.....scribbles you call it, but it is a snapshot, of one small part of your spirit. Therefore it is beautiful.

Your "scribbles" rival those of any canyon!
