I knew where she would sit
when she entered the room
there was something there
in her eyes
that said what she wanted
like the afternoon
when it finds it's favorite
window to warm

so I adjusted my subtle
but left my obvious
just a bit non chalant
twisting my moustache
like the bond guy
when caught contemplating
cognac and cleavage
like hemingway would a cuban

I imagined us elsewhere
suggesting even somewhere else
with body language bi-lingual
but she was fluent
at reading between my lines
like fingers pretending
into first time gloves
that had been worn for hours

and it seemed to be forever
from the door to the corner
but she took her time
to make sure my eyes
had time to take her survey
and she knew the light
and how to make shadows linger
where she wanted consideration

she confessed to my thoughts
about her weaknesses
which were her strong points
and yes they were on
when she leaned low
like it was normal
to be cold
in a room full of summer

and asked if she could sit
and was I expecting anyone
or would I mind
and was I thristy
she brought her own
like she suspected
I was a sipping kind
that she wanted to drown

in her total religious experience

I thank you...from the heart, for noticing her, and then, knowing her whole being, instead of using her weaknesses against her or fearing her b/c of them...your a very insightful man...one whom I'd really love to spend the afternoon with, picking each other's brains...

Ahh, yes..
I'm suddenly at a loss for words...
Mind if I just sit here for an hour or so
and ponder this one D?
Well done.

Adjusted your subtle, but left your obvious...

Long form looks good on you.

Hmmm. Now just who is the hunter and the hunted in this one? *grin*

Love the title of this.  Makes me want to sign up for the peace corps so I can bring some religion to the unenlightened.  Hmmm... maybe I'm thinkin' about the Jesuits instead.

ohhh, yeah - I can see those shadows now - That was a brilliant piece of writing from the male perspective of what it is about women that drive us crazy.
