A slow
soft rain
wets the street outside

Water drops
bead on a spider web
A sparrow shivers
then flutters the dampness
from its wings

Summer flowers
raise and bow their heads
A gentle cadenced pattering
on silver maple leaves

A certain blue
to the dawn cool air

The sun just rising
in the East

Just as I was leaving....thinking I'd caught all the rays there were to catch....here is another, and a perfect one to say good night on.

Thank you for making my evening, Huan Yi.... and yes, I did grab the first spot and then go back to read and actually reply!

Oh, I love sunrises, your poem captures the essense beautifully

Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent.

Methinks that you should be called "serenity".

You write the still moment superbly.
