(As we approach the second anniversary of the war in Iraq, as always I have vowed to give all my heart in working to stop it, and working to mobilize grassroots support all across my community, as well as encourage communities everywhere, to rise up to the occasion and those who feel strongly like I do against the violent resolve in spreading "freedom" globally, and believe that, truly, war and peace do not go hand in hand and believe in the Martin Luther King Jr. doctrine of peace:

"Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankind to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Mankind must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."

More and more continue to see the wrongs of this war each day, and the anti-war movement in result has been growing and continues to grow.

On March 19th, let this be a day where we all come out together and show the world living proof that this war is not by our hands and not in our names, when we take our tears, anger and prayers to the streets in one massive, peaqceful protest!

Find the time to volunteer if you don't believe in this war and make sure your voice is heard!

God Bless You All, and peace, love and harmony, yay! )

Tell Me When To Uncover My Eyes
By: Noah Eaton
3/1/05

Children slip and scrape their knees,
women pull out their hair and scream,
and resonates there's no pain greater,
than the memory of joy,
in this state of grief...

Constantly it burdens me,
I cannot say I ever asked for Peace,
I wanted to be spared of war,
and now I believe,
the absence of war is peace...

It's as though the day slips by cinematically,
like a wedding dress in an autumn breeze,
I seem to have lost the faith in all I love the most,
what good is shaking off the ghosts?
.
.
.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born,
on and on our hearts war on,
but we don't know what we're fighting for.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born...
.
.
.
This holy water in my lungs,
I harbor it so the song can be sung,
a song of baptism,
maybe it can provoke,
this initiation into a new state...

"Fear is not the natural state of civilized people",
I take my suffering like I take my medication capsules,
every little bit of it breaks my heart,
pinned on an iron cross in my bones,
but in the full extent I will overcome...

Upon the rubbled streets the ashes remain,
of those who died without a name,
mothers burying their own daughters,
fathers burying their own grandsons...
.
.
.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born,
on and on our hearts bleed on,
but we don't know what we're fighting for.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born,
on and on our hearts bleed on,
but we don't know what we're fighting for.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh silence,
you understand me most of all...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh silence,
you comfort me most of all...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh silence,
you would never betray me...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Oh silence,
you would never leave me alone...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
(oooohhhhhhhh)
SILENCE IS THE TRUE FRIEND THAT NEVER BETRAYS...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
(oooohhhhhhhh)
SILENCE IS THE TRUE FRIEND THAT NEVER BETRAYS...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
(oooohhhhhhhhh)
SILENCE MAY WIN THIS EARTHQUAKE...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born,
"A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance"
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born,
"A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak"
Tell me when to uncover my eyes,
and pretend the world I know's been re-born...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

Sad, truthful, outstanding piece of work here Noah. Hugging you, Chris

Oh, Noah, how I wish that I could tell you to uncover your eyes now. But alas, that time is not nigh...

However, with caring young people like you in this world, the future is looking much brighter! You are making a difference!

Love, Light, Peace & Harmony,
Linda
