Between the Lines

0 posted 2005-03-01 01:46 PM

I have fallen beneath the lines
broken, hyphenated with intent
the child in me protesting
the should-have-been-expected.
Divide and conquer, a masquerade
for all seasons, years in the taking
leaving me with a blank face
hearing no evil, seeing no evil,
speaking no evil.
My lips to touch no more, the taste soured.
My surface too sensitive
to your exposure, the source of which
now mysts my reign.

M

"hyphenated with intent"; clever and intense word usage;  Can't say that I enjoyed another's hurt, but I understand.  Hope the wintry weather becomes kinder soon.

I agree with the above.  Sounds written in haste, and hurt.
