Echoes of sadness rebound of the walls
at the fast passing of all yesterdays
but as fingers of need reach out tenderly
no substance exists to fold into touch
or stand like a crutch on a weak side.

Machinations of fate not yet understood
burn layer by layer the vortex of dreams
but the road beyond acknowledged ideals
lies in a valley of futile objectives.

A woman, a man, but of what consequence
the once mind twisting arousal
and the unearthing of soul from flesh
when somewhere the sun is setting again
on a today still yet to unfold?

Amidst seasonal change and sudden rebirth
a wanderer rolls like the sea to the shore
forever and always held captive within
the rough of life’s perfected dementia
of today synchronized with a yesterday.

Today/yesterday an insignificant breeze
when free in perpetuity to simply be
one complete and magnificent rendering of
all thought, emotion, belief, and ideals!

Thanks misc.  Oh, I'm going to lighten up any day now ... if "they" will let me.

Thank you, Dixie.  I'm not sure yet whether the inspiration is my own or not but slowly, slowly, I'm claiming it.
