Sun, ceiling-paint flat(gray)white,
Shines-tries in vain to break colds lock
And  chain, of ice that binds the bay.

Clouds (bruise purple)
Are  trimmed burnt-orange.
Cheeks of a beaten woman
Unable to leave her husband;
Though we others, will she must
Abandon the cruel circumstance,
She's been in since last autumn.

But each day it's lighter, two minutes longer
Above the clouds, the sky stays brighter,
Signs that her bounds are nearly broken,

That tepid rain, will soon fall as balm
To soothe where winters fists have fallen,
Breaking the chains of ice that bound
Lady summer, to a foul and abusive lover;

Setting her free, to lovingly spread
Her body of generous pleasure again,
Over the bay and the harbor.

Very few writers can pen such beautiful intimate impressions of winter's tight grip. I love the vivid colorful imagery, and the words positively flow. What a pleasure to read you today.

Ford...agreeing with the others above.  You have such a unique way of painting ...I could not just see the canvas, but the scene that the art came from....and this poem IS art!
