Train stories trip like pains and itches
Over New York state of minds
Where 2 once played in sensations
Rather vaguely characterized
Something affirmed or denied
Yet a famous passage
I am loved, if only in desire
Coreferring expression drives a golden carriage
Into that spring Opera underneath the rose garden
Where planets played a fountain of flutes
You are my fountain of youth
Where we gambol any day, any time
You, the inventor of bifocals
Me…fear…anxious and delicate
Terms of my mental state
Caresses proposition of what might have been
It is there, in similarity, we are one
And it is there, I stay a slave...live
To mental phenomena

I reach out to the believing
There, inspiration become intention
Becomes intention
Becomes me
falling
falling
unto
Obviouse, a property of things
Hopelessly caught in time
Like rings on a tree
And it is there, I prefer, my version of your arms
Never leaving
But, with hypnotic desire, you reduce me
to liquid
To yours…what I feared, yet sufficiently claim
Naturalizing the mind, into inquiries of truth
Where you have your way with words
Mine...

And I die just a little more…intentionally
Like a theory of content, realistic holigrams
Within the consciousness of our souls
You, once again, hold me
Like a lover who never lets go…

Fragrant, alive and real
oh, the scent of you intoxicates my every being
We become an island of freedom
Meadow wildflowers
Organic love
comet of
Definitions no longer understood
Like a crouching tiger
Putting down a mood that walks within
Throat of confidence…busy feet, busy arms
Inhaling a flowering hedge
Nutmeg to my soul
There your picture remains a part of me
And I am yours in summer's lilac
Reading the hunger in your wanting eyes
Your voice echoes in the dark
Everything I’ve ever known or wanted
Holds you within my dreams
If but, for a moment
for that moment
We once again fall to sleep
Together intertwined
We know passion, love, humility & home

but if a moment...
many things I could have copied, but I think I'll just breathe its essence instead.
Maybe it's my mood today, but parts about brought tears.

Have a great day, LeeJ.

This got me to thinking that this
was not of today, the here and now,
rather, the time of there, and then...

and that gives the whole poem another bent
and even Richard would approve.

A poem within a poem..

But I did enjoy the rest... :-)

You have such a capacity of reaching deep inside and showing us what's there.  Great to read you.  Ken

Beautiful memories.  Beautifully remembered, and written.
