The old brown shoe,
A rememberance of a childhood forgotten.

Lost to time,
Silhouetted,
In the far reaches of his mind.

Just a vague impression,
Nothing more.

Shadows of torment and heartbreak,
Long since hidden from himself.

The child with golden brown hair,
And a smile from ear to ear.

Gone.
Erased from life,
In a moment.

Taken away,
By one man.

Intoxicated and high,
No, not on life,
But rather on death.

Poison found in a can,
In a light.
In HIS hand.

~sigh~an awful end, a reality scene that should not happen, yet re-plays itself out daily I'm afraid
